At DC Interchange, you have full control over your personal data. If you wish to remove your data or delete your account entirely, please follow the steps below:
How to Request Account Deletion
- Self-Service Deletion: You can delete your individual active listings, garage items, and chat messages directly from your User Dashboard at any time.
- Complete Account Deletion: To permanently delete your entire account, please use the Contact Admin form above. Ensure you provide your registered email address and state "Account Deletion Request" in the message box.
What Data is Deleted and Kept?
- Deleted Data: Upon processing your request, your personal profile (username, email, password hash), profile photo, all uploaded car images, active listings, garage records, and personal chat messages will be permanently wiped from our active database.
- Data Retention Period: Complete deletion requests are processed and completed within 7 days of submission.
- Retained Data: Anonymous, non-identifiable transaction history (such as the final sale price of a completed trade) may be retained purely for marketplace statistics. This data is completely unlinked from your personal identity.
DC Interchange is simply a method of connecting collectors. There is no payment system facilitated through the website. You can arrange payment between yourselves. An electronic payment service that has payment protection is advisable.
